How much does an international move from Sydney cost?
The cost depends on your destination, shipment volume, packing, freight method and any storage or destination services required. Following a home or video survey, NUSS prepares a written quotation setting out the included services and applicable exclusions. Transit and storage insurance are optional and are not automatically included. Ask your consultant to explain any charges outside the quoted scope before confirming your move.
How long does an international move from Sydney take?
Timing depends on your destination, freight method, shipping schedules and customs clearance. Your consultant will provide an indicative timeframe for your shipment and explain the collection and delivery arrangements. Estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates.

How does customs clearance work for an international move?
NUSS and the destination partner explain the documentation required for your shipment. You are responsible for completing personal declarations accurately and supplying the requested information. Submission procedures vary by destination; some declarations must be submitted directly by the customer.
Do I need to be present for delivery in my new country?
Requirements vary by destination and property. Your consultant and destination partner will explain the arrangements before delivery. For apartments or managed buildings, confirm lift bookings, loading access and moving windows with the building manager and provide those details in advance.
Can I ship my car or pet with NUSS?
NUSS can coordinate car or motorcycle shipping as part of an international household move, subject to destination import requirements and an assessment of the vehicle. Pet relocation is arranged through specialist providers. Tell your consultant about any vehicles or pets early so the appropriate arrangements can be considered within your relocation plan.
Is insurance included with an international move?
No. Transit and storage insurance are optional. Available cover is subject to policy terms, conditions and exclusions, with different conditions for owner-packed goods. Discuss your requirements with your consultant and review the relevant policy documents before deciding.
What items cannot be shipped internationally?
Restrictions depend on the transport method and destination. Hazardous goods, lithium batteries, weapons, food and plant or animal products may be restricted or prohibited.
NUSS cannot accept e-bikes or e-scooters with their batteries included in an international household shipment. Check these and any other uncertain items with your Move Manager before packing so the latest requirements can be confirmed.
